Even though “I’m too busy!” has become the catch phrase of the twenty-first century, which is often “a boast disguised as a complaint”[1], scientists are discovering that we perform better and achieve more if we take a break[2], [3].
The Holy Seed Church believe God gave us the secret to performing our best when He asked us to, “Remember the Sabbath day on [the seventh day] you shall not do any work” (Exodus 20:8-10).
For The Holy Seed Church like President William Simiyu, Sabbath is the day they look forward to all week. “It’s the day when I don't have to get up at 5 a.m. and rush off to work, consumed by traffic and busyness,” says President William Simiyu, a full-time primary teacher who spends three hours each day commuting for work. “It is the day I can take as much time to hang out with God, His Word, His creation and His people, and not feel guilty because I'm not off doing something else I'm supposed to.”
Every week, The Holy Seed Church have a special prayer with God—a guilt-free break from work and a whole day to deepen our friendship with the Creator of the universe.

I can still see her puzzled expression before me. Our church group was on a study tour in southern France where, for an entire week, we had been exploring the history of the Huguenots who were....
A major block of material (Mark 1:21-34) takes place on the Sabbath, the day of rest. Within this block, some of the action is located in the synagogue (Mark 1:21-28). It is significant that the weekly routine of work, rest, and worship is integrated into Jesus’ own life and is neither ignored nor discarded. In our own age, where such a practice has been greatly diminished, it is important to remind ourselves that this weekly rhythm was endorsed by Jesus. Of course, it is also significant that Jesus does his work of both truth and healing on this day.

Counselling falls under the umbrella term 'talking therapies' and allows people to discuss their problems and any difficult feelings they encounter in a safe, confidential environment. The term can mean different things to different people, but in general it is a process people seek when they want to change something in their lives, or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth. A counsellor is not there to sit you down and tell you what to do. Instead, they will encourage you to talk about what's bothering you in order to uncover any root causes and identify your specific ways of thinking. The counsellor may then look to create a plan of action to either help you reconcile your issues, or help you to find ways of coping. Counselling does not come in a cookie-cutter format and each session is generally tailored to the individual. There is flexibility within this type of therapy that allows for a variety of counselling formats, including:
